One of Hull city centre’s shopping centres, Princes Quay, have announced three new additions coming to the centre this month.

Quick on the heels of the news that Crazy Golf opens next week, three new stores are set to open their doors during the next four weeks, while fair trade favourites, Samsara Craft Store are relocating to a larger unit from this weekend.

Opening along the east arcade, Kwik Pix 2, a store that offers digital and bespoke printing solutions while you wait and the ever-popular V Word, formerly located in Trinity Market, boasts a huge array of all things vegan and eco-friendly. These two companies will be situated next to Claire’s and the owners are looking forward to their new joint business venture.

“We have found the ideal location at Princes Quay to showcase what we can do and we can’t wait to open and start trading. The offering will certainly  provide customers with some great gifting opportunities”.

Joining the west arcade is Bath Scense, which is moving into the unit next to Beaverbrooks on level 2, offering handmade everyday essentials with a variety of bath bombs, wax melts and oil burners.

“I’ve had my eye on Princes Quay for a while now and it really is a dream come true to open a store at the centre. Having a home to display all the stock so everyone can see what’s available is going to be great. We look forward to welcoming customers into Bath Scense later this month.”

Having been at the centre for 2 years, Samsara Craft store is relocating to the unit opposite Primark on the west arcade. They are passionate pioneers of all things fair trade. Local owner Denise Harrison is an advocate for the importance of sustainability and eco-friendly shopping and the stock available to purchase includes a wide range of handmade, ethical, fair trade gifts.

October also sees the re-introduction of the monthly PQ Saturday Markets with up to 10 local traders showcasing the very best of art, crafts and gifts for visitors to browse and purchase on level 2.

“We have several local independent stores in Princes Quay already and adding another three to the retail mix is fantastic news.

“Being situated in the heart of the city we champion all things Hull and the shopping centre lends itself as a suitable home to showcase the very best in local talent.

“We welcome the new stores to Princes Quay and hope customers will continue to support their local traders”

John Magee, Princes Quay Centre Manager
