The next phase of Hull City Council’s Preston Road regeneration programme is underway with the council’s Portfolio Holder for Housing and Homelessness Cllr John Black and Hull East MP Karl Turner undertaking the traditional first sod turning to open the site.

The site will be developed by the Hull Citywide Developer Partnership, with Strata Homes and Keepmoat Homes as lead developers, to build 500 new two, three and four bedroom homes which will be for private sale and to rent.

Cllr John Black said “The council has an ambitious and well established housing-led regeneration programme and thanks to our strong partnerships with developers such as Strata and Keepmoat we are transforming the housing market in Hull.

“Together we are building new, sustainable neighbourhoods, and given the partnership’s commitment to using local labour, we are bringing new training opportunities and jobs to the city too.”
