80s icon Toyah & Legendary Andy Fairweather Low announced at PAC

Welsh guitarist, songwriter, vocalist and former Amen Corner frontman Andy Fairweather Low is heading to Pocklington Arts Centre (PAC) early next year. 

Fairweather Low will perform live with his band The Low Riders who are Paul Beavis, Dave Bronze, and Nick Pentelow on Friday 11 February, at 8pm, as part of the incredible line-up of events planned for the award-winning venue. 

He is the latest artists to be announced for East Yorkshire’s Premier Arts Venue as part of their autumn/spring season which features a fusion of highly acclaimed artists from the world of music, comedy and theatre. 

PAC Director, Janet Farmer, said: “Andy Fairweather Low’s pedigree is the stuff rock dreams are made of. 

“Throughout his career he has worked with some of the greatest musicians in the world so we are delighted that he will once again be performing live at PAC in February 2022. 

“He is an incredible talent and a truly fantastic addition to our programme of live events which features an outstanding range of music, comedy and theatre alongside our trademark diverse mix of film screenings, live broadcasts, and exhibitions.”

Get ready to re-live some of Toyah’s much loved greatest hits when the iconic 80s popstar plays live at Pocklington Arts Centre (PAC) in March 2022. 

Toyah’s live show at, on Thursday 3 March, at 8pm, will follow hot on the heels of the release of her brand new album ‘Posh Pop’ this Autumn.  

PAC Director, Janet Farmer, said: “What better way to spend a night than by experiencing an 80s icon like Toyah live on stage. 

“We’re expecting toe tapping, shoulder shuffling, singing and a lot of reminiscing when Toyah takes to our stage to take us on a journey through her 40-year career. What a fabulous and unique event this will be for everyone.”

The audience will have the unique chance to experience Toyah up close and personal, with a show that has a lively cinematic sound using Toyah’s vocals, keyboards, stand-up bass and storytelling. 

The show will feature Toyah performing her beloved hit singles and classic songs, alongside recalling stories from her colourful career. 

Toyah can currently be seen in her hugely popular Sunday Lunch videos which have amassed viewing figures of over 10million with her husband Robert Fripp.
