87 Gallery is excited to bring an immersive new media exhibition entitled ‘Worlds Apart’ by artist Aristotle Roufanis to Hull. Located on Princes Avenue, the gallery encourages local residents and visitors from further afield to come and see the work, which will be on display from 15 January – 26 March, 2022.
Aristotle Roufanis was commissioned to create the immersive installation, which relies heavily on his knowledge of emergent digital processes and engineering. Visitors will enjoy seeing the installation respond to aspects of real time, such as daily weather conditions and news headlines, making each day of the exhibition a unique experience.
Curator Becky Gee says, “In this work Roufanis addresses loneliness on an individual and global scale. This is something that we’ve been intimately aware of over the past two years. I hope that visitors to the exhibition will connect on a personal level and that this evocative work will encourage empathy and communality.”
Members of the public who wish to attend the launch event on 14 January from 6-8 PM are invited to book a slot, which they can find a link to on the 87 Gallery Website: www.87gallery.co.uk.
