Active East Riding announce ‘Schools Out’ Summer of fun activities

Parents and carers looking for ways to keep their children entertained this summer should look no further then Active East Riding #SchoolsOut.

This year’s #SchoolsOut programme will be delivered online, packed with ideas and activities to help keep children of all abilities active during the six-week summer holidays.

For parents and carers of children with a disability, there will also be a number of activities they too can take part in.

Visit the Active East Riding #SchoolsOut website to find activities taking place near you and make bookings online. As well as following the Active East Riding Facebook page to keep up to date.

This year’s #SchoolsOut will feature:

  • East Riding Leisure Centres
  • East Riding Libraries and Museums
  • Brick Wonders Lego exhibition at the Treasure House Beverley
  • Sewerby Hall and Gardens
  • Bridlington Spa
  • Active Coast events
  • Visit East Yorkshire
  • East Riding Fostering
  • Families Information Service Hub (FISH)
  • Change 4 Life
  • Countryside events
  • Holiday Activities and Food (HAF)

This year, Active East Riding will be taking part in the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme, which is being supported by Manchester United and England footballer Marcus Rashford.

The programme is designed to provide children and young people who receive free school meals free, fun activities across the summer holidays. You can find out more about it and can sign up to receive a newsletter by going to activeeastriding.co.uk/holiday-activities-and-food
