Adventure Cinema will return to Sewerby Hall and Gardens with three outdoor showings on giant screens in May.

Following hugely popular screenings last year, this Spring visitors will be able to enjoy three very different classic movies.

On Friday, 19 May, there will be a chance to see ‘Elvis’ (12), Baz Luhrmann’s stunning biopic of the legendary star, featuring great performances and plenty of famous songs.

Saturday, 20 May will see ‘Dirty Dancing’ (12), the iconic 80s film, with another wonderful soundtrack. Baby (Jennifer Grey) falls in love with dance instructor Johnny Castle (Patrick Swayze)…

Rounding off the weekend of big screen action, on Sunday, 21 May, will be one of last year’s biggest movies, ‘Top Gun Maverick’ (12), Tom Cruise’s most successful film ever. Feel the need…for speed…

Marie Gascoigne, general manager, Sewerby Hall and Gardens, said : “What a fantastic selection of films to enjoy outdoors this Spring! I am sure these showings will prove very popular, so book early!”

Gates will open at 7.45 pm on each evening, and a carefully curated soundtrack of music will precede each showing, which will be at 9.15pm.

Visitors should bring a blanket or picnic chair, and a picnic. Toilets will be available, as well as food and drink.
