Now that Halloween is over and firmly out of the way, Christmas time and the festive season is now upon us! The days are growing shorter, the nights are getting colder, and soon enough Christmas decorations and lights are sure to be going up in every home.

With Christmas just around the corner, it’s understandable that many will be wanting to save on money for festive events and present buying. Having said this, there’s no better way to spend a festive evening then by going out to indulge in some amazing food, served in some of Hull and East Yorkshire’s newest establishments and restaurants.

With this in mind then, here is a list of some amazing new places to eat at locally this Christmas!

Soju By Sumo

First up on today’s list is Soju By Sumo, one of Beverley’s newest restaurants and eateries. Situated on Beverley’s high street, amidst the bustle and excitement of the historic market town, Soju by Sumo is a pan Asian restaurant and bar specialising in fantastic Asian cuisine, made using high quality, locally-sourced ingredients.

Spacious, relaxing and modern in it’s design, Soju is an atmospheric place to eat, drink and socialise at. Whether it’s some fantastic, authentic Asian food you’re after, or some inventive and delicious cocktails-Soju is capable of doing it all!

The Hummingbird Cafe

Hearth Restaurant and Bakery

Lately a whole host of amazing restaurants and eateries have been opening in Hull’s city centre, and Hearth, a charming bakery and restaurant, is one of the latest to set up shop. Situated in the city’s Old Town district, Hearth functions as both a bakery and a restaurant, meaning that customers are sure to find something delicious on offer no matter the time of day!

Rustic and comfortable, Hearth specialises in a number of fantastic dishes, with the following being just a handful of examples: Sea bream with seaweed butter sauce, low and slow ox cheek, and pork belly, served with lime apple sauce.

Those seeking delicious food made using the highest quality ingredients will find plenty to love about Hearth.

BURGR

Hoh Food Hall, 1 Paragon St, Hull HU1 3NA

BURGR, a new fast food restaurant situated in the Hammonds of Hull food hall, prides itself on making the ‘juiciest, tastied smashed burgers you will ever devour’, and, given the reviews the eatery has been receiving over the past few weeks, it seems that there’s some truth to BURGR’s claim!

The establishment currently runs a small yet impressive menu, consisting of the following burgers: Smashed beef burger, cheese smash burger, steak meats burger, house bird burger and a vegan smash burger. Although the establishment’s burgers cost around £12 and upwards, these prices are more than justified by the quality and taste of the product!

Oishii Ne

Paragon Arcade is one of Hull’s most picturesque spots, with it’s Victorian-era charm and wealth of independent businesses, it’s no wonder that the area is so popular with locals.

Oishii Ne is one of the latest eateries to grace Paragon Arcade- specialising in Asian food, some of the establishments’ standout dishes are as follows: Buddha bowl, gyoza dumplings, karaage and ramen, all of which are sure to satisfy any lucky customer!
