Searching through TV schedules can be a formidable task sometimes. We’ve picked some of the best films on TV this week so you can easily plan your movie nights.

This week sees a great mix of classics and some new favourites on Freeview. We recommend Upgrade, Misery, Baby Driver, and The Terminator – enjoy!

Upgrade

Masters of the Universe

Skeletor wants the cosmic key as he wants to be powerful and take over the world. He-Man and company must save the world from Skeletor and free Sorceress, who is Skeletor’s prisoner.

Bridge to Terabithia

A rich city girl, Leslie, and a poor country boy, Jess, create Terabithia, a land of magical beings, and become its rulers. This helps Jess to escape and cope with a tragedy.

Night School

Teddy Walker is a successful salesman whose life takes an unexpected turn when he accidentally blows up his place of employment. Forced to attend night school to get his GED, Teddy soon finds himself dealing with a group of misfit students, his former high school nemesis and a feisty teacher who doesn’t think he’s too bright.

Misery

Deadpool

Ajax, a twisted scientist, experiments on Wade Wilson, a mercenary, to cure him of cancer and give him healing powers. However, the experiment leaves Wade disfigured and he decides to exact revenge.

Joe

The rough-hewn boss (Nicolas Cage) of a lumber crew courts trouble when he steps in to protect the youngest member (Tye Sheridan) of his team from an abusive father.

My Feral Heart

After his mother passes away, Luke, a young man with Down syndrome, is forced to move into a care home. After sneaking out of the house to explore the countryside, he meets a young woman who gives him hope and purpose.

Nobody’s Fool

Bram Stoker’s Dracula

When Elisabeta commits suicide, an enraged Vlad Dracula swears to avenge her death. Things take a turn when he meets Mina and takes her to be the reincarnation of Elisabeta.

The Terminator

A cyborg assassin is sent back in time to kill Sarah, a waitress, in a bid to stop her son who will wage a long war against his enemy in the future unless the course of history is altered.

Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children

On TV this week: Eva Green, Asa Butterfield, Chris O’Dowd star in Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children (2016) (c) 20th Century Fox.

A young boy named Jake discovers a house full of children with supernatural powers run by Miss Peregrine. Soon, he must help protect their home from terrifying enemies called Hollowgasts.

Baby Driver

Friday 19 March – 9:00pm – Sony Movies

On TV this week: Ansel Elgort, Kevin Spacey, Lily James star in Baby Driver (2017) (c) Sony Pictures Releasing.

Doc forces Baby, a former getaway driver, to partake in a heist, threatening to hurt his girlfriend if he refuses. But the plan goes awry when their arms dealers turn out to be undercover officers.
