2021 has been a very exciting and very different year and Hull has certainly gone through a lot. Here are some local photographers who have captured the best (and the not so great) parts of this year, and show Hull in a brand new light!
Donna Clifford
Although she is based in North Lincolnshire, Donna Clifford has taken some incredible photographs of Hull this year, including a spooky shot of a fog-covered Humber Bridge. She has also done a series of photos to showcase Hull Fair, which returned this year after being cancelled in 2020. You can see all her fantastic work on Instagram.
Dave Cook
This year, Dave Cook has been all the way from Budapest to the Lake District and his Instagram account is full of beautiful photography from all over the UK. Cook has also been to Hull and has displayed some of the most picturesque parts of the city.
Ruchi
Ruchi is a travel blogger and photographer who captures stunning photos of her travels, and this year she has included lots of beautiful pictures of Hull. She has even captured an eerie look of an empty Hull street when we were in lockdown. You can see all the places she has been at @ruchiclicks, her travel photography blog.
Colin Malin
With only his mobile phone, Colin Malin captures some of the most stunning pictures of Hull. The recent weather has meant that Malin has taken lots of lovely reflective puddle pictures, just like the Lion and Key photo above. These reflections of architecture and iconic structures really shows Hull from a whole new angle!
