Herby’s
Carr Lane, Hull City Centre | Website | Facebook
Open Mon – Sat 9am – 3pm
It couldn’t possibly be a proper Hull Top 10 without good-ol’ Herby’s. It’s been around for generations and is a proper Hull staple. But they’re not here just to make up the numbers. Herby’s, who moved out of Princes Quay into a unit down Carr Lane just last year, have one of the largest menus we’ve seen for a sandwich shop – everything from sausage rolls and pies, to chicken skewers and pizzas… as well as sandwiches of course. A great tradition that’s still going strong.
Lena’s Deli
Vernon Street, Hull City Centre
Open Mon – Fri 8am – 2:30pm
Lena’s is a fantastic little city centre deli that’s actually been open around 20 years. Everyone raves about the chicken wraps, but they do a whole range of fresh sarnies, salads, pastries and baked potatoes. Not quite hidden, but certainly a gem.
Kingston’s Deli
Saville Street, Hull city centre
Open Wed – Fri 11:30am – 2pm
Just round the corner onto Saville Street, you’ll find another delicetessen very similar to Lena’s. Look out for the specials board… some incredible flavours and a great selection.
Benedict’s

Close by to the University of Hull, Benedict’s as a staple amongst students. It’s got a crackin’ range of sandwiches, wraps and even burgers which all look amazing. Reviews are incredible… I just wish it was closer to our office.
