Butler Whites is a dining experience set in Hull’s beautiful marina, packed with personality and proper flavour. Once a bustling fruit and vegetable warehouse, the space underwent a culinary transformation in 2016 under the owner Jason.

This family-friendly restaurant offers a seasonal and eclectic menu, combining familiar flavours with fresh, local ingredients.
The star of the starters was the pulled pork scotch egg – encased in a herby panko crumb and served with a rich nduja aioli. We also savoured the seared king scallops, paired with cauliflower puree, pickled cauliflower, popcorn cauliflower, and dill oil.
For the mains, the pan-seared halibut, served with saffron pancetta risotto, was our surprise headliner, packed with complementary flavours.
The Tomahawk steak sharer, meanwhile, cooked to perfection and accompanied with fries, a mushroom and tomato garnish, and herb butter, stood out as a classic favourite. We also tried one of their pizzas; the delicious Philly steak-inspired variant.
Ribeye and Sirloin steaks are also available and on Butler Whites’ Thursday Steak Night offer where you get two steaks with a glass of wine each, for just £38. We love Butler Whites and think you will too! You’ll find it on Humber Street down at Hull Marina.
