We’re looking for an energetic and confident individual who will help contribute to our exciting new online media publication for Hull that has a mission to help local people get the most out of living here.

You’ll be responsible for reporting on great things happening locally within the leisure and entertainment sector. You’ll need to keep your ear to the ground and network with local people and businesses so you’re always in the know about new local projects, new restaurants and venues opening, as well as great events and activities.

This is full-time role with flexible working of 25 hours per week based in Hull city centre. We’re based at the newly renovated K2 office complex on Bond Street. It’s a contemporary working space with an on-site gym, lounge, sky garden, bar, and kitchen with access to free tea and coffee. It’s on a busy bus route and a short walking distance from Hull Interchange. There’s plenty of low-cost all-day parking near by.

The successful applicant will need to be able to:

  • Have excellent written communication skills including spelling, grammar and punctuation
  • Ideally a high qualification in English language at A-Level or above but below will be considered based on previous work
  • Be able to type quickly and use word processing software
  • Use spreadsheets

25 hours per week (flexible working pattern) – National Minimum Wage – 6 month term

Applications open to qualifying candidates through the government’s Kickstart scheme. You must be aged 16-24 and receiving Universal Credit. Apply through your work coach before Friday 16th July 2021.
