A new day at school, new talent and old rock classics are heading to Hull Theatres with three very different shows next year.

Hull New Theatre heads back to the classroom when children’s favourite Oi Frog And Friends bring their very special rhymes and fun for all the family from 7 – 10 April, 2022.

It’s a new day at Sittingbottom School and Frog is looking for a place to sit, but Cat has other ideas and Dog is happy to play along. Little do any of them know that chaos is coming… who knew there were so many rhyming rules and what will happen when Frog is in charge?

See the Frog, Dog and Cat live on stage in this 55-minute action-packed play with original songs, puppets, laughs, and, of course, plenty of rhyme.

Earlier in the year there is a chance to discover the next generation of dancers and choreographers as Creative Voice and Hull Dance take over Hull New Theatre on 23 January, 2022.

The dynamic night of entertainment will showcase the talents of groups from across Hull and East Riding and feature contemporary, street, and Indian classical dance.  The event will also include newly created pieces of work by Max Life Dance Company, Ainthorpe Youth Centre, Pragnya Arts Centre, East Riding Youth Dance Company as well as the first performance of a dance piece created in a day with JoinedUp dance artist Effie McGuire Ward.

Movements of a very different kind can be found over at Hull City Hall when The Rock Orchestra By Candlelight brings a glorious mashup of head-banging hits, classical instruments and an abundance of candles to the venue on 24 February, 2022.

Featuring the classical reimagining of a 13-piece Chamber Orchestra playing some of the very best Rock and Metal songs from the last 40 years, including the likes of Metallica, Led Zeppelin, Guns N’ Roses, Motörhead, Rage Against The Machine,  and Linkin Park.
