Hull and East Yorkshire are both full of dream homes and this week I was tasked with picking a few out for you to see. Now, they can be a little bit pricey; although, the Euromillions jackpot is £33 million this week so, if you strike lucky, you might just find yourself hitching up in one sometime soon. Therefore, without further ado, I present to you five dream homes in the Hull and East Yorkshire region.

Brimley Green, Beverley

Guide Price: £1,850,000

Brimley Green is a splendid four-bedroom detached house located in the desirable town of Beverley. Interestingly, this property features an orangery; a bespoke fitted kitchen; a swimming pool room; a bar room; and a library!

In my opinion, the swimming pool stands out above all else. Being an outstanding feature in any home, the swimming pool adds more than a dash of wow-factor to Brimley Green — it is not hard to imagine the allure of pool parties and quality family time.

Additionally, this property comes with 0.6 acres of beautifully landscaped garden — all walled —  which only serve to amplify the grandeur of the structure and its surroundings.

Brimley Green is on the market with Matthew Limb, an estate agent located in Welton who has established a reputation for being an agent of first-rate quality when buying or selling a home in West Hull and the surrounding villages.

Catfoss Lane, Sigglesthorne

Guide Price: £1,400,000

If nothing else, Catfoss Lane and Sigglesthorne might both win awards for having the most obscure names in the East Riding! Although, that would be doing this property — which has been dubbed one of East Yorkshire’s finest country residences — a serious injustice.

Nestled away in peaceful Holderness, Catfoss Lane is over two hundred years old, being built in 1815 with a splendour that is synonymous with that generation.

Naturally — and I do not say that ironically — this property features six bedrooms; a swimming pool; tennis courts; a treatment room; a plant room; a steam room; and a banqueting hall!

It is nothing short of luxurious. To that end, my words can only go so far; therefore, I request that you feast your eyes upon the attached images.

Catfoss Lane is on the market with Fine & Country, a Willerby-based estate agent who has specialist regional knowledge and a considerable reputation for selling luxury properties.

Meaux, Beverley

Guide Price: £1,150,000

Taking its name from a hamlet in the East Riding which, interestingly, happens to be the birthplace of our city, Meaux is a stunning barn conversion set in five acres of leafy Beverley ground.

Intriguingly, this property benefits from ground source heating which, apart from being exceptionally cool, means this is a very economical house to run.

Featuring, five bedrooms; four bathrooms; and stunning reception views, Meaux is a completely reconstructed replica of the original barn and is finished to the highest possible standard.

One need only look at the spacious and grandiose kitchen-diner area to see that I am not kidding about this property; indeed, I might be underselling it!

Meaux is on the market with Fine & Country. As I said before is a Willerby-based estate agent with specialist regional knowledge and a considerable reputation for selling luxury properties.

Enholmes Hall, Patrington

Guide Price: £1,500,000

A remarkable Victorian country house, Enholmes Hall is a property of great taste that will, without doubt, be of interest to those captured by articles of virtu.

Thankfully, many original character features have been preserved and, in tune with its Victorian origins, this property features detailed moulded plasterwork; deep skirting boards; as well as architraves and ornate fire surroundings.

Happily, the uniqueness of Enholmes Hall does not end there as I have yet to mention the fact that it was built in 1858 by the late William Marshall Esq who was formerly a Member of Parliament for East Cumberland.

This property features six reception rooms; twelve bedrooms; and three bathrooms. Granted, there may be a queue for the loo but that is a, very fixable, price worth paying for the magnificence etched into the fibres of Enholmes Hall.

Additionally, there is a sizeable outbuilding and a private golf course — so get working on that handicap!

Enholmes Hall is on the market with Blenkin & Co, a York-based estate agent who specialise in period and modern bespoke property.

Rolton, Hornsea

Guide Price: £1,650,000

Saving the best for last, I give you Rolston Hall; a stunning country estate set in ten acres close to the Hornsea coast.

Thankfully, Rolston Hall has been the subject of considerable investment and restoration, sympathetically retaining many of its original architectural features of which there are many as it has a seven-hundred-year-old history!

Amazingly, this property is found at the end of a long private lane which leads to beautifully landscaped formal gardens (these feature a significant portion of the original moat that once surround the house); tennis courts; and a range of outbuildings. Additionally, there is also a second house on the estate called Hall Cottage!

Now, owing to the majesty of this property, it is likely that I have missed something; however, it would be remiss of me not to mention that I have noticed that the current owners are Liverpool fans (pardon me for being nosy) which — of course — adds another helping of gusto to that already possessed by Rolston Hall.

Rolston Hall is on the market with Fine & Country which, as I have mentioned, is a Willerby-based estate agent who has specialist regional knowledge and a considerable reputation for selling luxury properties.
