If you’re looking to tuck into some proper Spanish grub without catching a flight, then El Toro in Hull is just the place for you. Nestled comfortably on Princes Ave, this down-to-earth eatery serves up deliciously authentic Spanish cuisine with a modern twist.

Walking into El Toro feels like stepping into a friendly local bar somewhere in Spain. The interior design is thoughtfully curated, evoking the rustic charm of Spanish culture; in other words, the place has a very laid-back, relaxed atmosphere to it; and with plenty of room to hang out, it’s perfect for grabbing a quick bite with mates, or for a chilled-out dinner date.
Like in traditional Spanish tapas bars, the food at El Toro is meant to be enjoyed over a leisurely drink or two. And let’s talk about that food, shall we? We headed over to make a video for our Hull Eats series, and we sampled a great selection of their food. They’ve got an all-you-can-eat menu that’s chock-a-block with tantalizing dishes, in a small-plate format so you can try a bit of everything! It’s a great way to sample a bunch of different flavours and find your new favourite. We also tried a top-notch chicken & chorizo Paella from their main menu, and we absolutely loved it.

But it’s not just the food that’s worth writing home about. El Toro’s got a pretty impressive drinks menu too. Their blueberry passionfruit martini was a favourite – trust us, it’s a cocktail you’ll want to try for yourself!
So, if you’re on the hunt for a good time and even better food, give El Toro a go. The vibes are friendly, the food is scrumptious, and the drinks are top-notch. You’ll feel like you’ve been transported to Spain without leaving Hull – and that’s something worth checking out!
Give it a try at 45-47 Princes Ave, and let us know what you think.
