The Waterline Summit is back and the University of Hull, as a proud sponsor, is hosting an important event alongside Team GB, which could help you on your journey to Net Zero.

The Accelerating to Net Zero – University of Hull and Team GB event is being held on Tuesday 18th October, between 3pm and 4:30pm, at the Aura Innovation Centre.

The event will hear from Dr Agota Mockute from the University of Hull’s Energy and Environment Institute (EEI) who has been working closely with consultancy Perform Green to educate and advise both the British Olympic Association (BOA) and Team GB on their carbon footprint impact as well as supporting them on creating a sustainability strategy.

Dr Mockute will be joined by Team GB’s chief Finance Officer, Dave Glassey.

As the National Olympic Committee (NOC) for Great Britain and Ireland, the BOA is responsible for selecting the Great Britain Team, from the best athletes for both the Summer and Winter Olympic Sports.

With these monumental global events requiring significant participation and meticulous planning and execution, its of paramount importance for all organisations participating to be invested in their efforts of sustainability.
