Creating a Coptic Binding with Wooden Boards.
The Coptic binding is one of the oldest forms of book structure where the sewing is exposed and very little adhesive is used.
Here participants will be making their own A6 size Coptic book with boards made from walnut, mahogany or similar hardwood. Suitable for beginners, once the sewing of the pages has been grasped, this technique can be used and adapted for a number of decorative book styles.
