Making a Protective Slip-Case.
This is a skill that all those involved in bookbinding should learn as a slip case can make a huge difference to the presentation and protection of your favourite or valuable books.
Participants will make a slip case for one of their own books (size restrictions apply).
We will look carefully at the critical step of measuring, before cutting the boards and gluing together. Then we will look at covering the case with decorative paper and book cloth to make an attractive and neat finish.
