We are so excited to share the details for FloodLights, our newly-commissioned public project featuring captivating projections and soundscapes – brand new for Hull in Autumn 2021.
The city of Hull, and the lives of its inhabitants, has been shaped by its proximity and relationship to water. Working in partnership with Living With Water, Yorkshire Water and the University of Hull, we’ll be exploring these issues – now even more pertinent than ever – through projection and light installations.
We are excited to be working with artists Limbic Cinema, Vent Media and Hull-based Davy & Kristin McGuire ,who have all drawn inspiration from the subject of “living with water”. Over 22-24 October, 6:30-9:30pm, they will be bringing the city centre to life with moving animations, light installations and atmospheric music.
To offer more people the chance to experience our indoor installation, “Sinuous City” by Limbic Cinema, this piece will be open from 11am on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 October at 51 Whitefriargate.
Booking is not required to visit this installation, but is encouraged to ensure guaranteed entry for your preferred time slot.
Davy & Kristin McGuire’s’ “Sirens” and Vent Media’s “Overflow” are both unticketed as they are outdoor installations, all you need to do is walk up to experience these.
