A request concert of exciting and moving music from John Williams’ Jurassic Park, Hans Zimmer’s The Lion King and Morricone’s The Mission along with concert favourites including Rossini’s The Thieving Magpie, Elgar’s Chanson de Matin and Vaughan Williams’ The Wasps. In a late programme edition – Stephen Sondheim’s Send in the Clowns will be sung by Sarah Lucy Penny. The orchestra welcomes back Harry Kneeshaw as solo violinist in Bruch’s Scottish Fantasy, and there’s more too with Florence Price’s beautiful Adoration, Aturo Marquez’s Danzon No 2 and John Williams’ Summon the Heroes. This is one not to miss!
