The Viewfinder Photographic Society’s annual exhibition gets underway once again in October at Skidby Village Hall and is also the perfect venue for the launch of the club’s recently published book.
Entitled ‘Outstanding’ and with a foreword written by former MP Alan Johnson, the book contains around 200 photographs that celebrate the natural and man-made beauty of Hull and East Yorkshire. Images have been captured by club members as part of a project spanning the last few years with the support of East Riding Council.
Copies of the book will be on sale at the exhibition, which this year is sponsored by Acklams Holidays. As usual, admission is free and the display showcases club members’ recent photographs. Visitors are able to browse the pictures, vote for their favourite images and buy from stalls selling cards, prints and gift items.
