Field Confirmed For Snooker’s Duelbits Tour Championship In Hull

Eight of snooker’s biggest stars are heading for Hull for the Duelbits Tour Championship which starts on Monday, and the line-up has now been confirmed.

The best eight players from the season so far will compete for a prestigious trophy and top prize of £150,000, in the third and final event of the 2023 Duelbits Series. It will be staged at the Bonus Arena in Hull for the first time and runs from March 27 to April 2.

The matches are:

Monday March 27: Mark Allen, player of the season so far, against Asia’s greatest ever player Ding Junhui. This is a repeat of the 2022 UK Championship final which Allen won 10-7.

Tuesday March 28: Reigning German Masters champion Ali Carter v European Masters winner Kyren Wilson

Wednesday March 29: Former World Champion and recent winner of the Duelbits Players Championship Shaun Murphy v Welsh Open champion Robert Milkins.

Thursday March 30: Four-time World Champion Mark Selby v British Open winner Ryan Day.

The semi-finals will be:

Friday March 31st: Allen or Ding v Carter or Wilson

Saturday April 1st: Selby or Day v Murphy or Milkins

Followed by the final on Sunday April 2nd.

Televised by ITV, it’s the third and final event in the 2023 Duelbits Series and there’s a top prize of £150,000 up for grabs.

A spokesman for WST said: “We’re delighted to confirm a tremendous line up for this tournament, which rewards the players who have performed best this season. Monday’s opening match is a blockbuster clash between Mark Allen, who has won three titles this season, against three-time UK Champion Ding Junhui.

“All matches are best of 19 frames and every fixture is intriguing. Fans should take this opportunity to enjoy the incredible atmosphere that only snooker can produce.”
