It’s the start of November and as we approach the end of the year, there’s all manner of big-screen magic coming to Hull cinemas.

From superhero blockbusters to family-friendly gems, everyone’s covered. We’ve got the run down of the biggest film releases coming to the silver screen this month, and thanks for Cineworld Hull, we’ve got some tickets to give away to some lucky winners too!

Scroll down to discover what’s on and when, or jump to the bottom for details on how to win tickets ?

1. Watcher (released November 4)

Maika Monroe, the breakout star of the cult horror movie It Follows, conveys palpable fear in this paranoid psychological suspense thriller. With distinct overtones of Roman Polanski and other genre masters, The Watcher unfurls a story of a young woman, her new apartment – and the mysterious, silhouetted stranger who is intent on observing her from the opposite building.

Want to keep those post-Halloween chills going? Click here to book your tickets for Watcher.

2. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (released November 11)

The final Marvel movie event of the year is set to be one of the most emotional MCU chapters so far. As if coming on the heels of the sensational Black Panther wasn’t enough, sequel Wakanda Forever must also grapple with the tragic absence of the earlier film’s centrepiece, Chadwick Boseman.

Watching how director Ryan Coogler and the rest of his cast and crew deal with this absence is bound to evoke more than a few tears. Rest assured, however, that this is an MCU movie with action and spectacle to spare. Now, the women of Wakanda, including T’Challa’s sister Shuri (Letitia Wright) and his mother Ramonda (Angela Bassett), must negotiate their grief while dealing with a brand new threat in the form of Atlantis leader Namor.

3. The Menu (released November 18)

Experimental gastronomy meets blackly comic horror in this eat-the-rich satire. Ralph Fiennes is on typically commanding and unreadable form as Chef Slowik, the man presiding over a pretentious, and increasingly interactive, gourmet menu hosted for a select number of clients on a remote island hideaway. Anya Taylor-Joy and Nicholas Hoult also feature in the strong cast.

4. Armageddon Time (released November 18)

Ad Astra director James Gray dramatises his own childhood in this emotional drama. Newcomer Michael Banks Repeta plays the young New York boy forced to navigate the intricacies of his own family and the darker realities of the outside world, with Anne Hathaway, Jeremy Strong and Anthony Hopkins lending starry support.

5. Strange World (released November 23)

One ordinary family embarks on one extraordinary adventure in the latest movie from Walt Disney Animation Studios.

The makers of the Oscar-winning Big Hero 6 throw us into a veritable galaxy of wonders as noted explorers the Clades confront their most astonishing discovery so far while stranded on a distant planet. Jake Gyllenhaal and Lucy Liu are among the star names in the voice cast.

6. Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical (released November 25)

Legendary bookworm Matilda Wormwood doesn’t just have the brainpower. She has the show tunes to match in this long-awaited adaptation of Tim Minchin’s foot-tapping barnstormer. Adapted from the classic Roald Dahl story, Matilda the Musical enjoyed award-winning success on both the West End and Broadway.

Screen newcomer Alisha Weir is flanked by a memorable rogue’s gallery of established names, including Emma Thompson as the fearsome Crunchem School headmistress Miss Trunchbull. Lending some much-needed warmth and light: Lashana Lynch as the angelic teacher Miss Honey.

7. She Said (released November 25)

The shocking and engrossing true story of the Weinstein investigation is put under the microscope in this intense drama. A critical hit at the Toronto Film Festival, She Said focuses on the two New York Times journalists who broke the news about the most powerful man in Hollywood, exposing the ugly side of the movie industry and setting in motion a global movement.

Carey Mulligan and Zoe Kazan portray Megan Twohey and Jodi Kantor, the women who dared to reveal what Tinseltown attempted to keep secret.
