Planting Workshops
Water’s Edge just across the bridge are offering some planting workshops where you can plant some bulbs for Mother’s Day – this is on Saturday 26th March at 11am, 12noon and 1pm. £5 per child, call 01652 631500 to book.
Cookstars Mothers Day Workshop
Saturday 26th March, 12.30pm – 2.30pm @ Tickton Village Hall
Main St, Tickton, HU17 9RZ.
Make, bake and decorate 2 beautiful gift cakes especially for Mum, Grandma or special person in your life. Cook Stars will make 2 delicious vanilla sponges, topped with butter icing and transform them into beautiful gift cakes with fondant icing wrapping, bows and decorations.
This fabulous workshop also includes Mothers Day themed craft activities. Snacks and drinks for Cook Stars and accompanying adults. An additional treatCook Stars of all ages will enjoy this lovely workshop, baking together to make delicious cakes for a special treat.
Other Places to Visit on Mothers Day
There are lots of beautiful locations in our area, check which are open before going –
- Flamborough Lighthouse is re-opening for tours on the 26th March 2022. No need to book, turn up on the day and pay cash.
- If you go to Elsham Hall in North Lincolnshire on Mother’s Day 27th March 2022, they will have their lamb shed open so you can see the new lambs up close.
- Burton Agnes Hall is a great family day out with lots of gardens to explore, giant games and new play area.
- Burnby Hall and Gardens in Pocklington has a lovely lake where you can feed the fish and a good play area for the kids.
- Normanby Hall have some lovely grounds to explore as well as a fantastic park.
- Burton Constable have lots of good walks in the grounds, the house to explore and the cafe is very good.
- Sledmere have beautiful gardens and grounds to spot deer, plus their rare breeds farm and adventure playground.
There are also lots of FREE places you can visit with your mum to celebrate Mother’s Day, such as the East Yorkshire Coast, Hull museums, or the fish trail in Hull City Centre – see the full list of ideas on Mumbler here.
