Getting everyone involved: Hull’s primary school children invited to design official City Council Christmas Card

Pupils across Hull’s primary schools have been invited to design the council’s corporate e-Christmas card by Council Leader, Councillor Mike Ross and Chief Executive, Matt Jukes.

Councillor Mike Ross, Leader of Hull City Council: “Christmas is always an exciting time for our primary school pupils. The Christmas card design competition is a festive way for children in the city to use their creative talents and enjoy some festive fun!”

The theme for this year’s card is ‘Together at Christmas’. Entries could include friends singing Christmas songs, a family wearing festive jumpers, a Christmas tree with colourful decorations or a nativity scene. It could be a design with a Hull twist, involving a landmark or favourite place.

Entries can be created digitally or on a piece of paper using coloured pencils, paints, or crayons. Designs need to be A4 size and landscape, but all entries need to be scanned in at school and emailed with your child’s name, age, school and contact details to: competitions@hullcc.gov.uk

The winning design will be sent to hundreds of people and businesses, giving Christmas wishes. The winning pupil, along with the two runners-up, will also receive gift vouchers.

Pupils can submit their designs to their school until 9am on 30 November.

Judging will take place on 6 December.
