Good news for Hull festival fans as Humber Street Sesh could go ahead in September

Hull’s biggest annual music and arts festival could be back for 2021 following the PM’s easing of legal lockdown restrictions.

Expect top emerging UK bands alongside regional legends; 200 acts spread across the unique, urban landscape of the Fruit Market, Marina and Humber Quay.

Since the first Humber Street Sesh in 2012, the team have continued to put on amazing festivals packed full of talent from the creative arts industry as a means of showcasing the abundance of talent in the local area as well as giving up and coming talent from across the UK a chance to shine.

The first event was set up as the 10th anniversary event for the sesh, an ongoing event every Tuesday that showcased local bands and music artists at the Polar Bear pub on Spring Bank.

Since then they have become the largest local festival including everything from poetry and street art to small local bands and famous local bands such as The Counting Coins and The Talks.

Due to the global pandemic bringing life as we knew it to a stand still, a lot of industries across the UK took huge blows, the creative arts industry took some of the most serious blows with every festival having to cancel or postpone until this year.

The recent news of the lockdown restrictions being lifted on the 19th of this month has given a lot of festival fans hope that they will be able to experience live music again, as more specifically, fans of the Humber Street Sesh festival.

Fans of the festival will very happy to know that the team behind the Street Sesh have set the dates of 17th – 19th of September to be the festival dates, although these dates are to be confirmed.

The hopeful news from the prime minister and his government could see the date set in stone and give everyone a festival to remember post-lockdown.
