Historic hull firm FR Scott is going green and has added a brand-new electric van to its fleet. The business is keen to help the environment and reduce its carbon footprint. It has committed to switching its entire fleet of 11 vans over to electric in the next 5 years.

Last year it installed two EV chargers at its site in Canning Street, Hull for colleagues and customers to charge their vehicles whilst at work or visiting the busy trade counter.
With the arrival of the new fully electric van FR Scott has set up a competition for all local children involved in sports clubs to create a design for the new van. With the winning child/design receiving £1,000 sponsorship package for their club and £100 toy voucher for the child. 2nd placed design will win £500 sponsorship package, 3rd placed design will win £100 worth of sporting equipment.
All designs have to be submitted by Friday 3rd February, and a team of FR Scott employees will pick their top 5 and put them to a public vote on social media.

Head of Sales & Marketing Tony Rands said…
“Going electric is important to us as we want to reduce our carbon footprint. We want our new van to stand out against our existing fleet so thought it would be a great idea to engage with the community we have been serving for 78 years and let local children get creative and design it. FR Scott already support local sports teams such as Hessle Sporting u13s and Sutton Park Primary FC with shirt sponsorship and with the fantastic prize available we are happy to support two more youth sports clubs, potentially helping the next generation of sporting talent come through”
Full details of the competition including a design brief, design template and the T&Cs can be found on the FR Scott Facebook page.
