Fast-growing cloud services provider Giacom has been named Cloud Company of the Year, with CEO Mike Wardell also receiving a prestigious personal accolade.
Hull-based Giacom provides cloud services to over 3,600 partners, who in turn support a network of almost 80,000 small and medium-sized business partners across the UK.
Joining forces with Digital Wholesale Solutions (DWS) in 2020, Giacom has continued to see impressive growth in recent years, with revenue expected to grow to £100m in the current financial year.
Giacom’s rapid growth and exceptional customer service was recognised at the at the SDC (Storage, Digitalisation and Cloud) Awards 2022, held at the Royal Garden Hotel in London. The awards have been running for 13 years and recognise business achievements in storage, digitalisation and cloud.
Giacom won Cloud Company of the Year for its Cloud Market platform and clear focus on supporting its partner network. Giacom was also named runner-up in the Cloud Platform Innovation of the Year category.
CEO Mike Wardell, who joined the business in 2016 and took the helm at Giacom in August 2017, was named Channel Champion.

Giacom has seen a consistent growth over recent years. In 2020, Giacom recorded revenues of £48.9m. By 2021, that figure had risen to £58.6m. In the 2022 financial year, Giacom is predicted to see a further 29 per cent income growth, with revenue expected to hit the £100m mark.
Giacom owns its own Cloud Market portal – providing its partners with straightforward billing and pricing, on-demand tech support and help with integrating new products into their business.
Mike Wardell successfully transformed Giacom from a Hosted Exchange provider into an award-winning Cloud Marketplace. Under his leadership, Giacom has developed and expanded its all-inclusive marketplace, partnering with globally-leading vendors to add value for customers.
