Hull Theatres is delivering not one, not two, or three, four, five, six or seven or eight but nine brand new shows on sale this week! From breath-taking drama and magnetic musicals to foot-stomping music and sea-faring critters; it’s all going on at Hull Theatres!

The dazzling Dirty Dancing – The Classic Story On Stage returns to Hull New Theatre next year with
heart-pounding music, breath-taking emotion, and sensational sexy dancing – what more could
anyone want?

Seen by millions across the globe this worldwide smash hit tells the classic story of Baby and Johnny,
two fiercely independent young spirits from different worlds, who come together in what will be the
most challenging and triumphant summer of their lives.

Based on the blockbuster film, this fantastic, emotional, and triumphant live stage show will kick,
kick, slide its way onto the stage from 7 -18 November 2023, featuring the sensational songs Hungry
Eyes, Hey! Baby, Do You Love Me and the heart – stopping (I’ve Had) The Time Of My Life.

Setting a course for Hull New Theatre in 2024 is Life of Pi. An epic story of hope and endurance with an unlikely alliance between a Bengal tiger and a boy at its heart, this charming tale, based on the novel by Yann Martel, washes ashore from 25-30 March.

Hull New Theatre will also offer ‘greetings and salutations’ to Heathers: The Musical from 26 -30 September 2023. Following two smash-hit West End seasons the black comedy rock musical based on the eponymous 1988 film, will visit the venue as part of a national tour.

Making sure audiences are thoroughly entertained and protected will be The Bodyguard. The award-winning, smash-hit musical stars Pussycat Doll, and multi-platinum Grammy nominated Melody Thornton as Rachel Marron in the breath-taking romantic thriller, featuring the classics One Moment In Time, I Wanna Dance With Somebody, and I Will Always Love You from 10 – 15 July 2023.

The classics continue over at Hull City Hall when The Proclaimers ‘walk 500 miles’ on 21 May 2023 for an evening of timeless tunes from the Scottish duo including Sunshine On Lieth, I’m on My Way, and Letter From America.

And in honour of Elvis Presley’s first recording session, the Sun Records – The Concert show, will celebrate the very best music the legendary recording studio has produced on 15 July 2023 with tracks from Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Johnny Cash, and Roy Orbison.

As 2023 progresses, two much-loved shows make a welcome return to Hull City Hall with the Illegal Eagles – celebrating the country band The Eagles on 1 December and the Irish – inspired Christmas show Fairytale of New York on 2 December.

Rounding off the new shows on sale this week at Hull Theatres is a love letter to the seas with an inspirational afternoon with CBBC Deadly 60 star Steve Backshall. His show Ocean will bring the icons of the world’s waters to life on 3 November.

Tickets for all shows are on sale now at www.hulltheatres.co.uk or call the Box Office on 01482 300 306.
