Hull Theatres today announced a quartet of spectacular shows stepping into the spotlight at its city centre venues.

First to step out of the shadows are Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo, or The Trocks as they are affectionately known, who make a much welcome return to Hull New Theatre from 11-12 October.

Presented by Dance Consortium, The Trocks are the world’s most fabulous foremost all-male comedy ballet company. Trained to the highest standards, these dancers bring humour and flair to well known repertoire pieces such as Swan Lake. They really do have to be seen to be believed!

At the other end of the spectrum much-loved Yorkshire-base dance company Northern Ballet set their sights on a more serene experience as they present their rendition of the festive family favourite The Nutcracker at Hull New Theatre from 30 November – 3 December.

Meanwhile, over at Hull City Hall there’ll be standing ovations a plenty and encore’s galore as The Billy Joel Songbook hits the stage on Wednesday 26 October. With timeless classics like Uptown Girl, Piano Man and We Didn’t Start The Fire –  this much lauded show is sure to carry you away on The River of Dreams

Speaking of dreams, be sure to Wake Me Up Before You Go Go, so as not to miss the return of Fastlove on 10 December. One of the world’s leading tributes to the former Wham frontman will have fans reminiscing of bygone days with old favourites like Freedom, Faith and of course Carless Whisper.Tickets for The Trocks will be on sale soon. All other shows mentioned are on sale now at www.hulltheatres.co.uk to book online.
