The splendour of Egypt is set against the grandeur of the Coliseum of Rome on 7 February 2023 as Verdi’s Aida from the award-winning producer Ellen Kent returns to Hull City Hall.

Based on the American version of the hit 1997 British film, the story follows six unemployed steelworkers from Buffalo, low on both cash and prospects, decide to get their kit off! As they prepare for the show, they overcome their inner demons and find strength in their camaraderie.
