Customers looking to make the most of their long weekend with a trip to London can travel in confidence with Hull Trains this Bank Holiday.

The operator is determined to keep passengers moving despite planned industrial action for 28th August by delivering its best Sunday timetable since the strikes began.

Hull Trains will be running 9 of its 12 usual Sunday services (75%) as a commitment to passengers who want to enjoy this Bank Holiday with minimum disruption.

Saturday will see a regular timetable in operation on Hull Trains services, whilst a near-normal timetable will be running on Bank Holiday Monday, with only the 07:27 from London unavailable.

David Gibson, Managing Director, said: “We have successfully increased capacity for this Sunday over previous strike days, which is testament to the dedication and loyalty of our colleagues in keeping our passengers moving. Their commitment to customer service is unwavering.

“It will be business as usual for the rest of the weekend, meaning families can travel to London safe in the knowledge that their journeys will be stress-free and enjoyable. We look forward to welcoming customers on board this Bank Holiday weekend.”

Passengers travelling with Hull Trains now also have the added bonus of being able to choose their perfect seat before they get on board, with the launch of ‘Seat Picker.’

When using the Seat Picker tool, customers can select a seat in a way that will be familiar to those who have selected seats on airline websites. Customers can choose from table and aisle seating, as well as orientation, throughout the carriages and see which seats have already been reserved by other passengers.

Seat Picker is only available on Hull Trains services at www.hulltrains.co.uk and can be used on both mobile and desktop.

Further information about this weekend’s timetables can also be found online and via Hull Trains’ social media channels.
