Hull’s Young Traders Market returns this Saturday, 17 July, at Trinity Market in Hull.

The Young Traders Market programme aims to encourage young entrepreneurs, aged 16-30, to use markets as a platform to start or grow their business.

The programme, now in its ninth year, starts with local Young Trader Markets across the UK and then regional finals, before a national final where one trader is awarded the title of National Young Trader of the Year.

This year’s event in Hull will be judged by BBC Radio Humberside presenter James Hoggarth and the Lord Mayor of Kingston upon Hull and Admiral of the Humber, Councillor Lynn Petrini.

Lord Mayor of Kingston upon Hull and Admiral of the Humber, Councillor Lynn Petrini said: “We should be proud, and celebrate the fact that we support and promote young, creative and hard-working people in Hull.

“Independent businesses and traders give Hull a unique feel; their creative ideas and confidence in our city is playing a huge part in its regeneration.”

The event will take place between 10am – 4pm at Trinity Market and on Trinity Square, as part of the Kitsch@thesquare monthly market event.

The young traders taking part this year are –

Junk Soul Smothered Streetfood

Outside the Lines Graffiti

Dirty Cash Vintage Clothing

Home Sweet Home

Fantastic Faces Face Painting

Blue Brain, Green Fingers Plants and Plant Holders

Stacie Jayne Crafts

Holly Greenwood Crafts
