Pride in our City

Ferens Art Gallery

As part of Humber Museums’ ongoing The Pride in our City Project, Ferens Art Gallery has created an exhibition to celebrate and represent LGBTQ+ identites, and encourage their inclusion in Hull. It includes lots of stunning artwork and photography, including My Parents Kissing… by Nan Goldin and a portrait of Queen Anne.
In Conversation as Collective Strategy

Humber Street Gallery

This exhibition uses Space 2 to connect and support Hull-based film-making and uplifting justice campaigns. Humber Street Gallery commissioned these two new films to explore themes of resistance and solidarity, produced by community-based Other Cinemas and the local groups, Black Heritage Collective and An Untold Story Voices.

Jasleen Kaur has created a new body of work for Humber Street Gallery, inspired by a piece of literature written by one of Kaur’s family about a charmed item acting as a link between missing relatives. Kaur uses her sculptures to explore the relationship between strong feelings and the people who form our life.

Design Orchard has a huge collection of fine art, and this October they will be looking at two new and exclusive pieces by Leigh Lambert, as well as sharing his experiences as an artist.
Explorers: Anna Bean Workshop

Artlink Hull, 87 Princes Avenue

Explorers is a project by Artlink Hull which gives children and young people the opportunity to work alongside artists and develop their skills. This particular workshop is working with the artist Anna Bean and focuses on the themes of “This is what I like” and “How are you creative”.
The workshop is aimed for ages 11-16 year olds, and you can book it here for free.

This nostalgic exhibition in Beverley tells the story of the town through a collection of 19th century art. It will be a beautiful reflection of how Beverley has been captured by artists through time.
Dolls House & Miniatures Fair

York Racecourse

This fair exhibits and sells a huge variety of minatures and models for you to admire and purchase. As well as that, there’s also a demonstration by Norman Raven of Raven Miniatures at 1.30 PM!
