Hull’s election results were declared at the Guildhall, with 19 out of 21 wards up for grabs. The Labour Group secured the remaining 25 seats. The East Riding of Yorkshire Council is still awaiting its results, but Conservatives have been losing seats and councils throughout the country.

The Hull City Council election saw interesting results in various wards. The Liberal Democrats had several victories, including in the Derringham, Longhill & Bilton Grange, and North Carr wards. The Labour Party had notable wins in the Orchard Park, Avenue, and Newington & Gypsyville wards. Both parties held their respective seats in several other wards.

The official turnout for the Hull local elections was 22.01%, with over 21,600 postal voters participating across the 19 wards. The city had 114 polling stations, including Hull Mosque, Hands on History Museum, and numerous community centres, cafes, and restaurants. Over 250 polling station staff worked on Election Day, clocking in over 3,800 hours.

Meanwhile, the East Riding of Yorkshire Council is still awaiting results. The Conservatives, who were in control, face challenges as they have been losing seats and councils across the country. It remains to be seen if this trend will extend to the East Riding of Yorkshire.

In summary, the Hull City Council local elections concluded with the Liberal Democrats retaining control of the council with 32 seats, while the Labour Group secured 25 seats. The East Riding of Yorkshire Council election results are still pending, but the Conservatives are facing potential losses as they have been struggling in other areas of the country.

The local elections have highlighted the political landscape in Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire, with the Liberal Democrats maintaining control over the Hull City Council. As the country watches closely, the East Riding of Yorkshire Council results may reveal further challenges for the Conservative Party.
