The legendary LOL Comedy Club is back – and not a moment too soon – with another line-up of top class comedians ready to provide the gags and the giggles.
The latest jokers and jesters will pick up the mic at Hull New Theatre and will take to the stage on 18 June, 2021.
The headline act is the endlessly charming Steve Sanyasi whose inherent warmth and cheeky, roguish twinkle shine through his material, elevating him to quite another level as a performer.
He will be joined by Rob Rouse who has a plethora of TV credits to his name including Channel 4’s 8 Out Of 10 Cats, The Friday Night Project ITV’s Celebrity Juice (with Keith Lemon), BBC3’s Comedy Shuffle with Rob Rouse and most recently seen on Dave’s One Night Stand. This is a rare chance to see an outstandingly gifted comedian outside of his national tour. His much in demand and hyperactive brand of humour is simply not to be missed.
Fellow comedian Freddie Farrell will provide more laughs with his natural storytelling ability, which coupled with his likeable and relaxed stage presence make him one of Britain’s most seamless and gut-bustlingly funny comedians.
Making sure everything goes to plan will be MC Jed Salisbury with his truly unique act, which takes the audience on an adventure of hilarity charting his journey from boy to man-child.
Usually based in the Mortimer Suite, this LOL Comedy Club has moved across to Hull New Theatre as part of The Prologue Series: A Coved Safe Season, to ensure it can be produced in-line with the latest Government advice to ensure the venue is Coved-safe for our valued patrons, visiting touring companies, performers and staff.
Following this one-off special the LOL Comedy Club returns to its natural home in the Mortimer Suite at Hull City Hall with more great comedians on 15 October, 12 November and 17 December.
LOL has a proven track record of bringing the very best comedy acts on the current club scene and breaking new talent on the cusp of stardom. It is part of Hull City Hall’s rich comedy history and the perfect complement to the main programme of comedians at the top of their game.
The 2021 #ItsHullarious comedy season features Paul Smith, Jimmy Carr, Gary Meikle, Rob Brydon, Milton Jones, Ed Byrne, Iain Stirling, Chris Ramsey and Jason Manford.
Looking further ahead into 2022 Chris Ramsey makes a welcome return in April and the following month Omid Djalili brings The Good Times Tour to the venue.
Please note: All line-ups for LOL Comedy Club are subject to change.
