February is proving to be something of a bleak and bitter month, and this can leave a lot of people wondering as to how they can cheer themselves up.

For some its a trip down to the pub with friends, or a meal out with family, but for many people it can be as simple and uncomplicated as getting a cup of coffee and a slice of cake on a cold winter’s day.

With this in mind, here are a handful of coffee shops to try in the local area this February, a number of hidden gems whose delicious food and high quality coffee will have you returning again and again.
