Tim’s Twitter Listening Party Event

Weekly Event

This next event is still music-related but very different from the ones previously mentioned! The Charlatans frontman, Tim Burgess has been bringing fans and audiences closer through lockdown with his Twitter Listening Parties.

The idea is simple. First, you head over to TimsTwitterListeningParty.com, where you’ll find the full line-up of albums Tim will be listening to, and the exact times and dates he’ll be listening to them. When the date comes, using the hashtag #TimsTwitterListeningParty music fans and artists, including Tim across the world will be involved in a discussion of the album currently playing. You can share memories, ask questions, and interact with other like-minded fans using the hashtag!

This week, the listening party will feature The Feeling, Fujiya & Miyaga, Sarathy Korwar, Nitin Sawhney, Tom Vek, and Sex Pistols. Plenty to look forward to! To get a better idea, above I have included an interview with The Charlatans frontman explaining all about his listening party!

Cook Stars Hull: Online Event

January 7 2021

Spatulas at the ready!… Stepping away from music now and into the world of food with this next event! Founder of Cook Stars, Cathy Hardy has been keeping families entertained and children educated with her fantastic interactive online cooking classes. Due to the lockdown classes being such a big hit, Cathy now offers regular Academy / Family cook along sessions. Every week Cathy’s classes will alternate between a dinner and a pudding recipe. The class is suitable for the whole family, including younger children cooking with a helper, or for older children cooking unassisted.

Cathy’s sessions have won multiple awards! Food and Drink Entrepreneur of the Year, Best Creative Business UK, and Best Arts, Crafts and Skills UK, to name a few. Above I have included an introduction to Cook Stars, but you can find all the information you need including this week’s class schedule from the website!

SocietyX : Photography Editing 101 Workshop

Weekly Event

The Society X Community has been featured a number of times in these weekly event articles, and rightly so! The worldwide digital collective of creators has been consistently supporting creatives and connecting communities through virtual experiences and classes since early last year!

Society X’s next event is with famed photographer Petro Onysko, who has worked with the likes of Bentley Motors and Tiffany & Co! Photography enthusiasts will have the chance to pick up some essential photography editing skills with this Petro’s weekly class. The classes are suitable for both photography newcomers and the more advanced. In this week’s class (Tues 5 Jan), Petro will take you through real-time edits and offer a Q&A session.

https://youtu.be/enVAzM_Pb-s

Something completely different for children aged 6-11. Build your own stage from card & take part in a Zoom activity where you create animations with other children.

Children construct their own card models from home at their own pace before the event, using a YouTube tutorial, and get to learn fascinating engineering principles along the way.

Then on Saturday, they’ll join in a fun, online Zoom activity where they’ll share ideas with other children and create funny animations together. Activities are led by an experienced school teacher.

The £6.99 tickets are per household, meaning that up to 3 children can take part in each session.
