Outdoor cinema returns to Sewerby Hall and Gardens this month, with two films with a suitably spooky feel for the Halloween season.

On Friday, 21 October, Adventure Cinema presents ‘The Lost Boys’ (15), a classic vampire movie. The evening begins when gates open at 6.30pm with a soundtrack of ghostly tracks before the film, which will be shown on a giant screen in the grounds at 8pm.

Those attending should bring a blanket and a camping chair and be ready to wrap up warm – fancy dress is also encouraged! The film will end around 10pm.

Saturday, 22 October will bring ‘Hocus Pocus’ (PG), a Disney Halloween classic for all the family, starring villainous comedy witches Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy. Gates will open at 5pm – bring a picnic and enjoy the film from 6.30pm. Those coming along should wrap up warm with a blanket and camping chairs. The film will end around 8pm.

Marie Gascoigne, general manager, Sewerby Hall and Gardens, said: “We are really looking forward to welcoming back Adventure Cinema after their very popular summer holiday film screenings, and these special Halloween performances will be a great night out for fans of spooky movies!”
