Vintage clothing brand Poorboy Boutique has opened a new pop-up store at Beverley’s thriving Flemingate Shopping Centre.

Poorboy Boutique launched in Hull nine years ago and has flourished since opening in Humber Street at the heart of the city’s vibrant Fruit Market urban village.

The vintage clothing store has now arrived in Beverley for the first time, opening a pop-up winter shop at Flemingate. It means Christmas shoppers in the East Yorkshire market town can enjoy a range of pre loved designer brands including Valentino, Burberry, Barbour and North Face.

Shoppers can also find one-off, unique pieces of fashion which have been re-worked and created by Poorboy.

David Gibb is Co-owner of Bag It Vintage Clothing, sister brand of Poorboy Boutique: : “We’re thrilled to have opened the pop-up store at Flemingate.

“Poorboy has gone from strength to strength since it first opened in Hull almost a decade ago. We’re at the heart of the Humber Street shopping scene and now we’ve brought our designer vintage labels to Beverley.

“We’ll be at Flemingate over the Christmas and New Year season, so pop in and see us and check out our vintage and re-worked collection before it’s too late!”

The pop-up shop sells a range of menswear, womenswear and sportswear, with leading brands such as Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger and Adidas among the selection.

Poorboy Boutique has taken a unit opposite Sports Direct, joining leading national retail operators including Dunelm, Sports Direct and H&M, as well as independents such as Baytree Interiors and Guitar Galleries at Flemingate.

The store is open Monday to Saturday from 9.30am to 5pm and Sundays from 10.30am to 4.30pm.

Flemingate is owned and operated by Hull-based commercial developer Wykeland Group, which has also driven the regeneration of the Fruit Market, working with joint venture partner Beal Homes.

Wykeland Property Director David Donkin: “We have a long-standing and very successful relationship with Poorboy Boutique. It was one of the retail pioneers in Humber Street, where it has become a big hit with shoppers and a major draw to the Fruit Market.

“We’re delighted to now welcome Poorboy Boutique to Flemingate, adding to the established line-up of retail, food, leisure and entertainment outlets at the centre.

“Poorboy Boutique brings an exciting new independent offering to Flemingate – make sure to visit them this Christmas!”

Opened in 2015 as Beverley’s largest ever regeneration scheme, Flemingate features a mix of leading national retail and leisure brands and local independents.

It also includes East Riding College’s Beverley campus, an 80-bed Premier Inn hotel and six-screen Parkway cinema.
