Hull New Theatre will be shaken and stirred with two stunning concerts from the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, as part of the venue’s The Prologue Series: A Covid Safe Season.

The world-renowned orchestra will deliver double-O-heaven with The Music of Bond on 12 June, 2021, featuring all the thrilling Bond anthems from over fifty years of box office blockbusters, including music from Goldfinger, You Only Live Twice, Thunderball, Diamonds Are Forever, Live And Let Die, From Russia With Love, Skyfall, Goldeneye and Spectre.

The musicians will be led by internationally acclaimed composer and conductor David Arnold and joined by a full rhythm section and vocalist Alison Jiea – …Nobody Does It Better.

The following weekend caped crusaders, plucky princesses, and numerous noisy kids are needed for an epic superhero battle against some dastardly villains at Hull New Theatre.

Everyone is encouraged to dress up in their favourite costumes and join the eight astounding musicians from the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra for Noisy Kids: Heroes & Villains on 19 June 2021.

This thrilling family concert is packed full with tales of the great caped crusaders, engaging activities and well-known tunes, including Grieg’s exhilarating In the Hall of the Mountain King (from Peer Gynt), Rimsky-Korsakov’s scurrying Flight of the Bumblebee, Delibes’ superb Flower Duet (from Lakmé) and much more.

Not to be outdone, the musicians will also be donning their favourite costumes for the two shows, which will take place at 10.30am and 2.30pm.

The Prologue Series: A Covid Safe Season continues to grow with more shows to be announced shortly. All the performances will be produced in-line with the latest Government advice to ensure the venue is Covid-safe for our valued patrons, visiting touring companies, performers and staff.

Tickets are on sale Friday 23 April from 10am at www.hulltheatres.co.uk
