Christmas always seems to roll around earlier and earlier every year, but in 2020, Christmas feels like a welcome normality to what has been a pretty rubbish year. You can also rely on some magic Christmas classics such as Black Christmas, Die Hard, Gremlins, and It’s a Wonderful Life. Dolittle (2020) – 4th December

Dr. John Dolittle (Robert Downey, Jr.) lives in solitude behind the high walls of his lush manor with his exotic animals that he speaks to on a daily basis. But when Queen Victoria becomes gravely ill, the eccentric doctor and his furry friends embark on an epic adventure to a mythical island to find the cure.

Emma (2020) – 5th December

2020’s adaption of Jane Austen’s classic novel starring Anya Taylor‑Joy. The films follows the antics of Emma Woodhouse; a young woman who occupies herself with matchmaking in the lives of her friends and family.

Critical Thinking (2020) – 6th December

The true story of the Miami Jackson High School chess team which was the first inner city team to win the U.S. National Chess Championship. It stars John Leguizamo who plays a dedicated teacher who inspires a group of Latinx and Black teens to become chess champions.

Love Sarah (2020) – 9th December

Misbehaviour (2020) – 20th December

A group of women part of the Women’s Liberation Movement create a plan in order to disrupt the 1970 Miss World beauty competition in London.

Moomins and the Winter Wonderland (2017) – 21st December

The winter seems extraordinary in Moomin Valley, so Moomintroll decides to stay awake instead of having his typical winter slumber. Moomintroll discovers that strange creatures wander amidst the snowdrifts in the midwinter darkness, and all of the new hints imply that an eccentric guest is soon to arrive. This new guest is called Christmas, and an astounded Moomintroll learns to experience the true meaning of this wonderful holiday.
