Hull Theatres will dance through Cuba, delve into political secrets, step back in time to the Jurassic period and honour Her Majesty with a series of stunning shows next year.
Latino flair and flavour will bring much needed colour to the early part of the year when Acosta Danza: 100% Cuban hits the Hull New Theatre stage on 25 – 26 February, 2022.
Presented by Dance Consortium, this thrilling mixed bill of five works – includes three UK premieres – all infused with Cuba’s rich music and dance influences performed by twelve extraordinary dancers from the Havana-based company.
From dance to drama, as the fast-moving, hard-hitting political thriller Dead Lies plunges Hull New Theatre into the centre of political intrigue.
Written by the No.1 Best Selling Crime Novelist Hilary Bonner, the action takes place during a fiercely fought election campaign and follows Peter George, played by Coronation Street’s Richard Hawley, a politician who promises a new kind of politics beyond sleaze and spin.
This roller-coaster ride of a play, packed with twists and turns will take place from 13 -14 May 2022.
After exploring the political world Hull New Theatre sets out to discover the pre-historic planet as it dares to experience the dangers and delights of Dinosaur World Live in a truly roarsome interactive show for all the family.
From 15 – 16 July 2022, venture across uncharted territories to discover astonishing dinosaurs including every child’s favourite flesh-eating giant, the Tyrannosaurus Rex, a Triceratops, Giraffatitan, Microraptor and Segnosaurus.
The atmosphere over at Hull City Hall will be less dangerous and rather regal as Happy and Glorious serves up a patriotic afternoon celebrating Her Majesty The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee on 17 May, 2022.
Neil Sands and his wonderful West End cast will mark 70 glorious years of the monarch’s record breaking rein with songs from her Royal Command performances, show tunes, and a rousing section from Last Night of the Proms.
