The Dirty Immigrant – A stand-up comedy show

Wanna see a dirty immigrant tell dirty jokes? If you’re someone who thinks we should question everything about life, love, religion and politics then you’re going to love travelling Romanian comedian Victor Patrascan.

Victor’s curiosity surpasses his fear. He likes to poke the truth with a stick and see if there’s any life left in it. He’s bringing his honest, thought-provoking and unapologetic stand-up comedy show to Hull.

Coming Out Of My Cage (And I’ve Been Doing Just Fine)

‘Mr Brightside’ hasn’t left the UK charts in 19 years. How did it end up like this? Coming Out Of My Cage is an interactive investigation with karaoke, lip-syncing, and absolute bangers.

Tim and Hannah discover a viral video of a bar singing ‘Mr Brightside’ to their recently departed friend. Reading online comments they uncover stories of incredible people – all united by one song. Together they conduct an investigation into the chart-busting phenomenon and give you an unashamedly good night out in the process.

An Evening With Critical Fish

Enjoy an evening at Humber Street Gallery, hosted by Critical Fish, to reflect and unpick themes present in the gallery’s current exhibition programme.

The Critical Fish is an artist-led project which promotes critical but accessible writing about art and visual culture. They support creativity and culture in Hull and the region, but are also outward facing and invite contributions and ideas from further afield, interested in critical, creative, collaborative and experimental writing.

With a band made up of some of the UK’s finest country musicians, Made in Tennessee takes you through the decades of the nation’s fastest-growing music genre, from Country music’s origin in the Southern States of America to modern-day Country heard around the world.

Featuring classics from Johnny, June, Dolly and Hank, legends like Garth Brooks and Carrie Underwood and modern country superstars such as Kacey Musgraves and Chris Stapleton.
