Introduction to Stand-up Comedy with Kevin Precious
Wednesday 25 Jan @ Hull Truck Theatre
Always fancied trying your hand at stand-up comedy but never got around to it? Ever watched a stand-up comedy performance and thought ‘I’d love to give that a go?’
The 7-week course is designed to be a comprehensive introduction to writing and performing stand-up comedy and culminates with each participant getting the opportunity to perform their first gig.
Participants will develop methods and techniques for generating self-authored comedy material; combined with the ability to deliver the material in front of a live audience.
Workshops are every Wed evening, 7-9pm, for six weeks.

Queen Extravaganza is the official Queen tribute band produced by Roger Taylor and Brian May, and returns to the UK following sell out shows across the globe. The show features more than 20 Queen classics drawn from the band’s biggest hits!
The band, who began touring back in 2012, are made up of a rolling cast of gifted musicians who have been hand picked by Roger Taylor and Brian May.

When the Bells Go Down – A Life in the Fire & Rescue Service

Chris Blacksell is the Chief Fire Officer & Chief Executive of Humberside Fire and Rescue Service (HFRS), having joined as a Firefighter at Hull Central Fire Station in 1988.
He has been the Chair of Humber Local Resilience Forum since 2017, overseeing the planning for, and response to, all Major Incidents in the area, from major fires and unexploded bombs to the multi-agency response to the Covid-19 pandemic. He is the National Fire Chiefs Council Lead Officer for Fire Investigation, having been a Fire Investigator for many years and he also oversees their Executive Leadership Programme.
