This exhibition actually launched back in October, but we’re resurfacing it in our ‘best events’ this week as it’s a fantastic, informative, well-curated exhibition about Hull’s royal history and it’s only on until February. Plus if you’re looking to save a few bob and still take the family somewhere, this is ideal as it’s completely FREE entry!
Open Mic Night

This Thursday sees the first monthly open mic night at The White Hart of the year.
Starting at 6pm, you can just turn up and add your name to the list. There’s no need to book ahead and there’s a FREE drink for all performers!
There’s a fantastic drinks selection and delicious food being served up from Anti Sautè, Sautè Club.
ELO Experience

Fans of 70s rock-pop band, Electric Light Orchestra won’t want to miss this top-notch tribute coming to Hull this Friday night.
With a sensational string section, a stunning light show and large screen projection to further enhance the experience, they promise to take you on a magical musical journey through time.

Dylan Ward Acoustic and Karaoke Night

Service Station, on the corner of George Street and Wilberforce Drive, is a popular, lively bar that’s a great addition to Hull city centre. Every Friday, from 7pm, acoustic talent, Dylan Ward takes to the stage with some amazing vocals before handing it over to you and your friends to have your turn with some fun karaoke! It’s FREE entry and drinks are well-priced with a ‘happy hour’ from 6pm – 9pm.
Polar Fest
Daily 10am – 6pm @ The Deep
Something special is taking place at Hull’s iconic aquarium – The Deep!
In partnership with the British Antarctic Survey and the Scott Polar Research Institute, this new exhibition is a celebration of science and adventure amongst the most extreme elements in the world – the Polar Regions.
Many families in Hull are likely to own annual passes for The Deep so pop down and enter without any extra charge, during January.
Rock Afternoon

One of Hull’s most iconic pubs is hosting the first of it’s monthly Rock Afternoons in 2023. Starting at 3pm, they’re pumping out some best anthems from the 60’s to present day, right through to 7pm. It’s free entry and drinks are well-priced.
Indie Tunes

If Rock Anthems all Saturday afternoon isn’t enough, check out this hidden gem in Hull Old Town.
Bar 55 opened last year and is a luxurious bar, hidden away in the back of the old HSBC bank on the corner of Whitefriargate & Parliament Street.
Every Saturday night, you can chill out or dance away to the best indie tunes from DJ Darren Hall and enjoy delicious, premium cocktails made by a team of mixologists. They also serve local craft beers on draught from Atom and Bone Machine, and serve Hotham’s spirits.
Quiz Night
