2022 is nearly at an end, and although there have been various ups and downs, you can’t deny that over the past 12 months Hull & East Yorkshire has welcomed a whole host of exciting new bars and eateries!

Whether it’s brunch and breakfast that you’re after, or maybe just a good-quality sandwich, the local area’s newest and best eateries are always able to cater to the customer! With this in mind, here is a rundown of the finest bars and eateries that opened in Hull & East Yorkshire in 2022.

The Brunch Club

44-46 Princes Avenue, Hull HU5 3QG

First up on today’s list is Princes Avenue’s very own The Brunch Club-an impressive local eatery specialising in everything from brunch and burgers to cocktails and cappuccinos!

Spacious, modern and situated amongst the bustle of Princes Avenue, The Brunch Club appears to be going from strength to strength! When it first opened, the establishment focused primarily on serving up fantastic brunch, and, whilst their brunch is still fantastic, the establishment has expanded it’s horizons, deciding to emphasise it’s role as an exciting and bustling bar, as well as a homely and family-friendly place to eat at!

With a wealth of fantastic staff and amazing food, The Brunch Club is undoubtedly one of the finest local eateries and bars to have come out of 2022.

Roadhouse

An American inspired diner renowned for its atmosphere, brilliant food and helpful staff, Newland Avenue’s Roadhouse masterfully walks the line between eatery and bar.

Kicks Bar & Grill

Kicks Bar & Grill has certainly made a name for itself in the months following it’s opening! One of Hull’s newest sports bars and eateries, the establishment is rapidly becoming one of the most popular places to eat, drink and socialise at in the local area-and for good reason!

Kicks excel at doing a number of things: events, sport nights, and of course, food. Hoh Food Hall, 1 Paragon St, Hull HU1 3NA

The Hammonds of Hull Food Hall is not short of amazing eateries and bars. One of their newest establishments, BUGR, keep it simple, serving up ‘the juiciest, tastiest smashed burgers you will ever devour!’

Some of BURGR’s standout burgers are as follows: Smashed beef burger, cheese smash burger, steak meat burger and their vegan smash burger- all of which are perfectly complimented by a side of fries or onion rings! The eateries burgers are a little more expensive than customers may be used to, but this escalation in price is accounted for by the amazing quality of their food!

Mr. Hugo

Hoh Food Hall, 1 Paragon St, Hull HU1 3NA

Last but by no means least is another resident of the House of Hammonds Food Hall, Mr. Hugo. In the last 12 months Mr Hugo has gone from strength to strength, and is now one of Hull’s most renowned eateries!

Styling itself as a German-style Kabap and Bratwurst kitchen, Mr Hugo serve up anything and everything you could possibly want, including pretzels, smash burgers, kebabs and fries! Affordable and family-friendly, no one does comfort food quite like Mr. Hugo.
