The Biggest And Best Online Flower Show Ever

Combining art and gardening, the Chelsea Flower Show is a lot more interesting than its title suggests. Some of its past displays are abstract, some are historical, and others still look like something out a work of science fiction. The Chelsea Flower Show isn’t drab and dull, but creative and sensual with amazing sights and scents.

For the first time in history, the Chelsea Flower Show is going online. The Chelsea Flower Show has been taking place, almost every year, at the London Royal Hospital Chelsea since 1913. In March the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) called the event off due to the lockdown, but the story isn’t over, and it will continue on the RHS website.

A massive series of incredible events are happening, and there is something for everyone, including gardening devotees, families, gardening newbies and more. Every morning between the 18th and 23rd of May, a leading designer, florist or gardening personality will give an online tour of their private gardens. That’s not all, daily “school gardening clubs” will demonstrate fun gardening activities that families can do together. There will also be “potting bench” demonstrations that show plant growing and maintenance techniques. In the afternoon, Q&A sessions will happen where RHS advisors join a special guest. UK growers who were going to be at the event will provide tours of their nurseries, and some of them will even replicate the displays they would have had at the show. A series of programmes celebrating the Chelsea Flower Show, on BBC One and BBC Two, will accompany these fantastic events.

Celebrate art, beauty, nature and gardening this May and add some colour to your lockdown. The Chelsea Flower Show could give you the inspiration you need to bring your living space to life, literally. If you don’t have a garden and are stuck indoors, then why not create your very own indoor greenspace? House plants can boost your mood, reduce stress, increase humidity, decrease indoor pollutants, and may even reduce background noise. The Chelsea Flower Show can help you spruce up the garden, keep your children entertained and also give you ideas for enhancing your home and home office. Simply put, the Chelsea Flower Show is well worth a look during the lockdown.
