It’s an exciting week in Hull, with the huge Unboxed: About Us event taking place this weekend. To tide you over until it begins on Saturday, the Bonus Arena is busy with music gigs from Craig David & Blondie, and a comedy show from Trixie Mattel. More comedy in other venues across the city centre too, with shows from Billy Pearce, Chris Ramsey, and more, as well as musical events such as That’ll Be The Day and the UK Pink Floyd Experience.

About Us is a spectacular, never before seen, free open-air event that combines live performances and multimedia installations to celebrate the entire history of the universe, from the Big Bang to the present day. It arrives in Hull on 30 April 2022 for one week only as part of its five-stop UK tour.

An Adult Evening With Billy Pearce

Yorkshire-born Billy Pearce emerged through the tough training grounds of the northern club circuit to become one of Britain’s most talented comedians.
Born in Leeds, he came to national prominence when he appeared on a talent show called New Faces in 1986. He was quickly snapped up for stage and TV appearances, including five Children’s Royal Variety Shows and three Royal Variety Shows. Multi-award-winning Billy loves singing, acting and dancing.

Trixie Mattel: Grown Up

Mattel is known for being the winner of the third season of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars, and for placing sixth on the seventh season of RuPaul’s Drag Race.
Mattel co-hosts the web series UNHhhh and its Viceland follow-up The Trixie & Katya Show alongside Katya Zamolodchikova. Her first studio album, Two Birds, was released in 2017, followed by her second album, One Stone, in 2018.
Expect some music and surrealist comedy that only Trixie Mattel could hot glue together.
