As Summer continues, another great week of events in Hull is headed your way! The big event this weekend is Pride in Hull, taking place in Queen’s Gardens, and the Pride Party in the Park event afterwards! We have plenty of things to do filling out the rest of the week too, from musical performances from the likes of James Arthur to amazing all-day events in Hull such as the Festival of Archaeology: Medieval Mayhem!

Pride In Hull

Pride in Hull is back to celebrate the 21st Birthday of Pride! With two amazing celebrations happening on one day in Queen’s Gardens.

Festivities kick off with a technicolour parade through the city, which snakes through to Queen’s Gardens for the main Pride festival. Expect amazing street food and a whole carnival of fabulous, plus a few surprises!

Pride Party In The Park

Continue the fun, after Pride In Hull with the amazing Party In The Park! 17:30 – 21.30 Pride Party in the Park (Tickets Required).

Drag Queen Superstar, Trinity Taylor, performer & Season 9 contestant of RuPaul’s Drag Race as well as 1 of the All Stars 4 winners will be performing at Party In the Park! Keep your eyes peeled for more act announcements shortly.

Brickbox.uk LEGO® Workshops – Mosaic Building

Can you create an image using just 1×1 bricks or plates with LEGO®? If you’re a budding artist or a wannabe Roman artisan come along and create a mosaic of your own design with help from the BrickBox.uk staff.

Recruitment Day July 2022

The Bonus Arena, Hull are holding a Recruitment Day on Wednesday 27 July from 2 pm to 7 pm.
We will have information on the following casual roles, all ready to recruit and start in the coming weeks!
We are recruiting for the following:

  • SIA Door Supervisor Badge Holders (via Showsec, our Crowd Management Contractor)
  • Venue Hosts/Stewards
  • Food and beverage team members
  • Cleaners
  • Technical Crew

Applications can be done on-site on the day. If you are interested in joining the team, join us next week at the Bonus Arena, Hull. No booking is required, simply turn up on the day.

Festival of Archaeology: Medieval Mayhem

Join us for a weekend of medieval merriment and mayhem as the Museums Quarter and High Street are transformed into a medieval encampment. Come face-to-face with knights in armour, a unit of archers, medieval residents of the street, craftspeople and musicians.

Join in with life in the past and find out whether you’d have made a brilliant knight or a first-class archer. Or how about making pottery, learning how to spin or honing your wood-working skills?

British Firefighter Challenge 2022

Cheer on firefighters from across the world as they take part in this year’s British Firefighter Challenge.

Humberside Fire and Rescue Service is proud to be supporting the organisers and hosting this year’s Challenge in Hull City Centre, King Edward Street on Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 July.

Firefighters will take part in a series of challenges designed to test their speed, skill and strength.
